 It all started 15 years ago, when my wife, Judy, started creating
cloth stuffed bunnies to sell at craft shows. I told her she was wasting
her time and could never make any money following this pursuit.
Of course, she proved me wrong and sold hundreds of bunnies and made a nice profit doing so. 
Inspired by her success, I decided to try a small business venture of my own. A neighbor had told me that wooden fruit sold well, and I decided to give it a try. As we travelled across the country, and Judy visited various craft & gift shops--which is her passion--we also sold my apples to the shop proprietors. Soon, I could not keep up with the demand for the wooden fruits. We have gone from a company called Judy's Cuties to MainlyWoods, and the rest, as they say, is history. And I owe it all to those little stuffed bunnies. |
 Mainly Woods specializes in wooden apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, oranges, peaches,
pears, and plums. The products come in various sizes and are finished to resemble
actual fruit.
Our company was established in 1989 by my wife & I--Buddy & Judy Adkins. Our solid-wood products are crafted in the tradition of wood-turning excellence. Made from native hardwoods, our fruits are both realistic and enduring.
Our reputation for quality and service have enabled us to become a leader in our field. Our products are found in some of the finer gift shops throughout the United States; these products complement many beautiful baskets in thousands of homes throughout America. |
